Time Flies

I am sorry I have not posted sooner. The days have gone so fast and I am not the greatest at keeping up with life in general!! I have been looking for a job with no luck. I know the right job for me is out there, I just need to find it. Please keep me in your thoughts.

I am still working on Holiday Pineapple. Most of the holly and berries have been added. It's not much more I need to stitch, some on the pineapple. I stopped for awhile to make the biscornu ornament for the Christmas Ornament SAL and I have put it away again to stitch on my January Bride's Tree SAL ornament.

Stitching with yellow thread always makes me feel happy. What I especially like about this house is the roof design. I had to change one of the colors so the pattern could be seen. My mom LOL about the smoke and no chimneys! I need to do some landscaping to the yard! LOL! I plan to add a tree on each side, steps, and a foundation. And of course the chimneys!

For any of you who have not joined a stitch-a-long, do consider joining. It is a wonderful way to meet new people, plus you are stitching something for yourself or you can give it as a gift. What I like about SAL is I know I am going to stitch a particular item and I do it within a certain amount of time. It really keeps me on track. I feel I get more stitched for myself. I have two posted on my sidebar under Special Links.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

More on Holiday Pineapple

I have been busy this past week. I decided to post a picture of Holiday Pineapple, wrinkles and all. This is the only piece I am stitching on at the moment and am happy with the way it is turning out. I am really looking forward to adding more holly leaves. Maybe that is what I will work on tonight.

I painted part of the basement wall. It had been a shade of mint green and I have been painting it white. It looks so nice and clean. I also moved my sewing machine cabinet/table downstairs. I am looking forward to sewing again, but didn't think I could stand to look at that green wall.

I have not decorated for the holidays. I did manage to bring out a small collection of snowmen. I don't know if I will do more than that. We will see. I have really enjoyed reading the blogs of those in other countries. Learning of different holiday traditions and seeing pictures of decorations from abroad has been a joy. Maybe if I give up reading blogs, just for a few days, I could get more decorating done!! LOL!

Take care
Teresa

P.S. I enjoy blogging so much, I wouldn't want to give it up, not even for a day! Bloggers make the best friends!!!

Holiday Pineapple

I have been stitching, but didn't want to show this piece until it started taking shape. This is Holiday Pineapple from Cross Quick magazine Oct/Nov 1989. I have the pineapple to complete as well as a holly garland beneath it. I think I will finish this piece using a wisteria vine wreath. My mom planted wisteria years ago and it has taken over a hickory tree. At one time I made wreaths out of the vines. I should start making them again, there are plenty of vines in the backyard.

Take care
