I have been stitching, but didn't want to show this piece until it started taking shape. This is Holiday Pineapple from Cross Quick magazine Oct/Nov 1989. I have the pineapple to complete as well as a holly garland beneath it. I think I will finish this piece using a wisteria vine wreath. My mom planted wisteria years ago and it has taken over a hickory tree. At one time I made wreaths out of the vines. I should start making them again, there are plenty of vines in the backyard.
Take care
Teresa

This is coming along very nicely.....I agree a grapevine wreath would be the perfect touch, especially from your own vines. I need to get back to my stitching, you are an inspiration for me.
The quote is wonderful...thank you for sharing. Linda
Nice work! I love wisteria and I think that would be a perfect match for the pineapple! Thanks for visiting me. I will add you to my blogroll so I can visit you often!
I love pineapples, I always remember that they are the sign of welcome. Yours is coming along nicely, please show us when you finish the project. Thanks for your nice comments, they are so appreciated.
Hi Theresa
I love the little pineapple. I think pineapple are very cozy, does that sound silly! Your quote is lovely and very perfect. Good luck making the wreaths. Thanks so much for visiting me. I have added you to my blog list and will visit you again soon!
Great progress. Looking forward to seeing more.
Pineapples were once a sign of welcome and hospitality. I remember once visiting an historic hose and the guide showed us a bed with pineapple bedknobs. Now these were removable, apparently very useful if you had guests who had overstayed their welcome. Simply remove a pineapple bedknob daily until (hopefully) they got the message!
HI Teresa, you have won the draw on my blog :)
