Christmas Biscornu Ornament

I joined the Christmas Ornament SAL a few weeks ago. This past weekend was the designated weekend to stitch. I know I can stitch and post anytime, but this gives me a chance to be more disciplined when it comes to ornaments. This is a Prairie Schooler design with a few changes of my own. I took a small design from the front to make a coordinating back. I am really excited with how it turned out. It is one thing to picture it in your mind, but to have it turn out just right is really special.

I already know what I will stitch next, but I am leaving it as a surprise. I am looking forward to using different finishes, but I know the biscornu will be a favorite.

Teresa, this is a wonderful stitch...your work is lovely.
I remember sewing cards,I loved them. Growing up I would embroidery little pieces with my grama. I learned cross stitching from a friend over 20 years ago. We used to stitch like crazy and then I just stopped stitching...not sure why. Starting to stitch some now and enjoying myself again. Happy stitching to you...Linda

Teresa, you do such wonderful work. Is a Biscornu difficult to make? Thanks for sharing.

This turned out beautifully Teresa! Great job and great finishing job too.

How fun that you have a Dutch last name. Have you looked into your family at all?
