Stitching and Sewing

I skipped ahead a few months on the Bride's Tree SAL and stitched the ornament for July. I was concerned about finding the right chart containing a fish pattern. When I found the chart, I decided I didn't want to wait until July to stitch the ornament. However, I will wait until July to show you. I think it is my favorite so far.

Mom and I had a visit from Uncle Santa yesterday. We had talked previously about me making some clothes for him that are Santa related. He showed up with fabric and patterns. While he was here, I cut out most of a shirt. I cut the rest out this morning. I got out Mom's sewing machine and worked with the tension to get it right. I will start sewing this evening.

I received a comment about my mom's birthday card party from a woman in the USMC. If by chance you are reading this post, please send me an email at sewmanythoughts@hotmail.com I would like to send your grandfather a card.

Thanks for stopping by, I'll try to have pictures next time.

Hi Teresa! I wanted to stop by and say hello as I am not able to get around to visit blogs as much while my mother is here. It made me smile to read about Uncle Santa's visit. I will look forward to seeing your ornament.

By the way, I did not forget you with your give~away win. I hope to get it together this weekend as we are not going to Cranberry Cottage. We have two Dutch holidays this coming week so we are waiting until Wednesday to go and get to stay for 5 days.

Hugs ~
