What do you take into consideration when mailing a package? Do you gift wrap the items you send? Do you put certain items in storage bags and then pack them? Do you mail candy or chocolates throughout the year or just in cooler months? Please give me your expert advise.
Thanks so much

I mail many packages. I usually do not send Chocolate in hot months and yes I usually gift wrap the things I send. I have never used any storage bags, sometimes I bubble wrap though.

Well I made a big boo boo when I sent chocolate to Malaysia! I wrapped it and the recipient never complained although I worried myself silly thinking it had melted and ruined the package. . I like to wrap the stitched item in tissue then the whole package in a plastic bag then in a bubble wrap envelope. xx
I usually wrap each item individually and then put them in a wrapped box. I don't mail chocolates during the summer because of the melt factor.
God bless.
I like to wrap in tissue paper and tie with a ribbon if the stitched gift is flat such as a pinkeep and then into a padded envelope. If it's something like an ornament or a pincushion I line a pretty box with tissue and place stitching and extras in the box and then fold the tissue over it. The box then goes into the padded envelope.
If possible, I try to avoid very heavy items as the mailing charges can work out extremely expensive. I also avoid sending chocolate in case it melts.
Great question! I like to wrap items individually if I can...dishes or china are difficult to wrap. Chocolate any other time than the cooler months would definitely be a no no. Be careful though, warmer climates are hot all year round!
I also use storage bags if I think there's a chance it could get wet.
HOpe this helps! I found your blog via Beachy!
