Baby Blanket for a Baby Boy

Let me introduce you to my niece, Julie. She is expecting a baby boy in two weeks, possibly sooner! I made the knitted baby blanket she has draped over her. I took it to her today and told her I wanted to take a picture before I left. She draped herself and said take the picture! We had lunch together and talked. I think she will make a great mom.

Julie was the most precious baby and little girl. We were so close when she was young. She was the daughter I wished for, but never had. You know how it is when they start growing up and need you less. Now that she is having a child of her own, I think we will grow close again. I hope so!

Knitting the baby blanket has really kept me busy! It took a little over two weeks to complete. I stopped stitching during that time. Now, I have a sewing project and stitching to get back to.

Tomorrow, I will be posting about a lovely quilting package I received as a giveaway. I will not tell you about it today as it needs a special post of its own.

Have a good evening

Teresa
