This design is from Kitchen Accents by Vicki Neil Getchell, 1981, Needleworks, Inc. It was to have a glass jar lid stitched to one side, but I like the design better with just the jar. This piece is stitched on 18 count aida with DMC threads.
Next, is the design for April. This rabbit ornament is a combination of two designs. For the rabbit, I used a free chart from Bent Creek called Hare Lines, a link can be found on the Bride's Tree blog under April designs. I did make a few changes to the chart.
For the border, I used a design from It's The Thought That Counts by Designs by Gloria and Pat. I did a few alterations to that chart as well. This piece is stitched on 18 count white aida with DMC number 931. Even though the design is very plain, I think it is pretty and delicate.
Next month's design is a bird or bird's nest. I have the chart ready but, I don't have all the thread. I will probably start it in the next few days and just stitch with what I have on hand. I will also be hitting the books to study for my medical coding credentials. I hope to take the exam before the fall. It is a major exam and I only want to take it once! Someone in my family has been very gracious and I don't have to worry about the payment for the exam.
My mom says "hello" to everyone.
Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

I adore the mason jar. Perfect for violets.
That Mason jar is just precious. You do such lovely work.

Lovely ornaments, Teresa! A big hello back for you and your mother.
Have a nice weekend!
Hugs, Carolien
Sweet finishes Teresa!
That rabbit reminds me of an older Bent Creek freebie from awhile back but your finish is cuter!
Hi Teresa, I like both of your projects, especially the violets. I have a patch of violets in my yard and just love putting them in drinking glasses and jars too. To me they are an old fashioned flower and I think they look sweet in the jars and glasses...especially in the kitchen.
Hello to your mom and have a nice evening to you both. Hugs, Linda
That mason jar with violets is really pretty. The little rabbit also. Tell your Mom hello from Holland.

Hi Teresa,
First off, tell your mom hello back! Your Bride's Tree ornaments are beautiful! I really like flowers in Mason jars.. my friend Linda gave me a bouquet of flowers from her garden in a Mason jar on May Day and I just love it!
Good luck on those studies!
Michelle
Both of your projects are wonderful! Actually, I'm using a mason jar now for daffodils : )
