I found this little guy or gal in the backyard
as I was cutting the grass.

It must have been lots of fun trying to cut the grass around this little guy. Very cute.

Found him? Wonder if some little boy or girl lost their turtle? Did it give you an excuse not to cut the grass? :)

Congrats on your award...I always enjoy my visits and seeing all your neat stitching projects.

Oh my goodness! We found a HUGE snapping turtle in our basement stairwell a few months ago. Then 2 days later he was gone. How he got out of there I will never know :)

Hello Teresa,

Thank you so much for your kind, welcoming and comforting words!
I'm still adjusting to my 'new life', but try to catch up bit by bit in blogland.
Love your turtle!

Hugs, Carolien

AWWWW, how cute.
A few yrs back, when our grandkids were small, we found one in my backyard...oh, did the kids have fun with it for a few days. They carried him around in a box for a day and then we decided to turn it loose 'cause "it's mama might be cryin' 'cause her baby was gone."
