I was reading Lee's blog and read her answers to the "interview" she gave Anna and decided to play along.
These are the questions Lee sent me and my answers:
1. When you were growing up, what one meal do you remember as being your favorite?
Actually there are two meals I really enjoyed growing up. I really enjoyed grilled steaks. My mom would always have salad and baked potatoes. I went for the salad and not the potato. They usually grilled when my brother or sisters where coming to visit during the weekend. The other meal I enjoyed was when my parents would take me to S & W Cafeteria in Richmond, VA. It is no longer there and I miss it. My dad would get roast beef, my mom would get green beans and spoon bread, and I would ALWAYS get popcorn shrimp, french fries, cole slaw and ice tea with lemon. The whole experience being with my parents and eating there was wonderful. It was the last place we ate together the day before my dad died. Please don't be sad that I put that in, I had forgotten that until now. I am glad I was reminded. We really enjoyed each other that day.
2. Today, what is your IDEAL meal?
I enjoy any meal that comes with good company, but I love to eat out, so an IDEAL meal is one I don't cook. One of my favorite places is Cracker Barrel and another is Blackstone Herb Cottage.
3. When you were growing up, what ONE thing did your parents always remind you of, when it came to meal time? My mom would say when dinner was on the table and don't eat what you don't like. She never made us try anything we didn't think we would like or make us eat something she felt was good for us if we didn't like it.
4. Is there anything that you "specialize" in cooking that people ask for? My niece would ask for fudge and homemade Chex Mix at Christmas. When I worked at a grocery store, I made a cheesecake for some someone's birthday. After that, I would get requests from the assistant store manager to make another and I did! There would be about eight of us that would dig in! LOL
5. Are there any weird "food rules" you have? Feel free to list as many as you like.
I can't watch the TV show where this man eats strange foods from other countries. I watched it once and got sick! I don't think I could enjoy a meal if someone was eating something out of the ordinary.
The Rules:
1. If you want to participate, leave me a comment saying, “Interview me.” (And your e-mail address if I don't already have it, please.)
2. I will respond by e-mailing you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
Thanks for stopping by!
Teresa

I agree thoroughly with #5! And you are lucky... I remember quite a few nights being stuck at the table for what seemed like hours because I couldn't force my brussel sprouts down LOL
Loved your answers to the meme. It is nice to get to know you a bit better.
God bless.
