Another Birthday Card!

Mom was so excited to receive another birthday card this week. Isn't this card the sweetest?! It is from Michelle at http://imalittletpott.blogspot.com/ (I'm A Little Teapot). All the decorations are made of lightweight metal. She also include the cutest bear ornament. He is bringing birthday balloons. I found a special place to hang him so Mom could see him everyday. Thanks so much Michelle!!

My uncle (Santa) came to visit last Sunday. He had a great time reading Mom's cards. She had left them out on the table because she had a feeling he would come to visit and she was so anxious for him to see them. I wish you could have seen his face when I explained that my blogging friends had sent them. He thought is was so sweet and kind. He treated us to take out from Long John Silvers. He had his computer with him, so I showed him my blog and some of your blogs too! He was really impressed with us!

I am currently stitching my Bride's Tree ornament for February. This ornament is to represent "True Love." The design is called Forget-Me-Not Heart. It is from an old issue of Cross Quick magazine. I want to have the color blue in each of my ornaments. This worked out great, it has shades of blue and the forget-me-not's meaning is true love. The fabric I used is actually white but it didn't show up well in this picture, but the color of the flowers is pretty close. Now I am doing the tedious part, backstitching.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

What a lovely heart. Why is it that the back stitching seems to take so much longer than the rest of it.

God bless.

Hi Teresa! It has been too long since I stopped by to visit you. I missed out on your mother's birthday and please tell her I hope it was a wonderful day and that she enjoy a new year ahead!!! I know the generosity of online friends is really something special. Enjoy it! I also love your new stitching. What is the Bride's Tree? Is it a special project that you stitch an ornament for each month?

Hugs ~
Heidi
